I offer lessons in the following areas

Piano/Keyboard
Keyboard and piano are the primary instruments I now teach. Piano can seem like a daunting instrument to learn, but once you get your head around the basics (and working out how to do different things with each hand) you'll be able to serenade your family & friends at birthdays, Christmas parties and gigs for years to come.
I offer lessons from novice to expert, primarily in pop, rock, jazz and funk music as well as classical. 100% of the students I have put forward for RockSchool examinations have achieved 'merit' or 'distinction', so if grades are your thing, I'll make sure you get the mark you want! From scales and arpeggios to learning your favourite hits we'll cover a broad range of styles, all of which can be tailored to your needs.

Guitar
I teach both acoustic and electric guitar. From learning chords so you can play your favourite songs, to learning riffs so you can improve your improvisation, you will have the opportunity to learn guitar in a variety of styles. You have control over what you want to learn, and I will plot the way with you to get where you want to be. I offer lessons from novice to grade 8, so there is something for everyone when you learn guitar with me.

Music Production
The music industry would not be as it is today if it wasn't for Music Production. Possibly the most important moment in the history of popular music since the early 1900's was the invention of recording equipment. Today, our job as a producer is made much easier in many respects by technology, but it can be a steep learning curve.
I teach music production from Logic Pro X, Garageband, or Ableton Live. All you will need for these lessons is a computer running one of these programs, some headphones, and a keyboard controller. We'll then look at how we can develop your skills both technically and creatively so you can be a better producer, arranger or mixing engineer.
If you are taking a Music GCSE, Music Technology A level, or other qualification in Music Production I can also help you with these courses, aiming to improve your final grade if you feel like you need extra tutoring.

Music Theory
Music theory is essential if you want to improve as a musician. I teach to grade 5, and whether you already play an instrument, are a producer wanting to understand the theory better for songwriting, or a novice trying to work out what's going on, I can help you put the pieces together and you will see how everything is connected in the world of music.
